i hate this continuous shift our society has towards impatience and anti-intelligence all for the sake of being ordinary, or as conversation, or to be "cool." i wouldn't know or care about so many of my favorite things if i weren't originally slightly patient with most of them. good things hit you across the face with their immediacy. great things take time. sometimes lots.

but if you just want good and not great, fine, that's your prerogative.
